Traveling – is it for everyone?

From everything that you can see here on the website it’s pretty obvious that I’m a huge fan of traveling. Because of that fact I talk about traveling quite often when I’m out on lunch or a cup of coffee with friends. Apart from my friend Sarah, with whom I’m traveling together quite often, no one from my life seems to be that interested in traveling. I find this odd and can’t help wonder is traveling something that not everyone is into?

Traveling – is it for everyone?

When I’m traveling I usually have amazing time, discovering new places, meeting new people, having new experiences. Now I’ll admit that it wasn’t and isn’t like this always. Sometimes you book an AirBnB where the host isn’t that friendly, or the booked apartment isn’t all that great. However, most times traveling is a positive experience and I love it. Still, whenever I try to get my sister, or some of my other friends to go on a trip with me, they don’t seem to be all that interested.

I think that it’s true that traveling just isn’t for everyone. We’re all different, obviously, and not everyone is going to be interested in spending time in a foreign country, where most people don’t speak your language, and most of the time you don’t know where you’re going. Still it’s a shame to dismiss something without even trying it. Don’t just pass up an opportunity to travel when your friend suggests it because you’ve never done it. Say yes, and who knows, you might like it.
